Richard Warley

VP International Sales & Managing Director, CenturyLink EMEA

Richard Warley is the managing director of CenturyLink in EMEA. Richard's responsibilities in this role include developing sales strategy, driving revenue growth and owning client relationships, as well as directing overall CenturyLink business in the region.

Richard joins CenturyLink from IPsoft, a provider of autonomic and cognitive solutions, where he held the position of chief executive officer. Richard also previously served as CEO of KVH, a Tokyo-based company specialising in data centre, cloud, network and IT services.

Richard has over 20 years' experience in financing and operating technology companies in Europe, the US and Asia, including senior roles at SAVVIS' international business where he took the company public (whilst at Merrill Lynch) in 2000. Richard started his career as a lawyer in the UK before moving to New York where he worked in the investment banking divisions of DLJ and Merrill Lynch. Richard has a BA and MSc. (Econ) with Distinction from the London School of Economics.

Mike Bennett

Vice President, Global Data Centre Acquisition & Expansion, CenturyLink EMEA

Mike Bennett is CenturyLink's VP for Global Data Centre Acquisition and Expansion, a role he has held since late 2010. In his role Mike is responsible for the building of New Data Centre Locations around the globe as well as expansion of existing CenturyLink Data Centres.

Prior to this Mike was VP of Operations for EMEA and has also held the posts of Head of European Technical Operations and Hosting Engineering Manager for Savvis UK, which was acquired by CenturyLink in 2011. Mike's career prior to joining CenturyLink has involved building expertise in a variety of roles for Intel Corporation, and for Cable and Wireless in their Internet and Data Communications Divisions.

Ian Burgess

Global Director, Hosting Compute Engineering, CenturyLink EMEA

Ian Burgess is the Global Director, Hosting Compute Engineering at CenturyLink EMEA, a role that he has held since 2011. He is responsible for leading a global team of over 250 engineers across five countries that monitor, manage and maintain over 40,000 managed hosting servers.

Ian also runs the Hosting Compute engineering function which is focused on delivering service excellence through major processes such as incident, change, request, problem, and event management. Ian has 15 years operational experience running network, colocation, cloud and managed services, and has previously worked for Intel online services.

Ian started his IT journey working with Intel as part of their Online Services division focused on managed IT services. During this time Ian continued to develop his engineering skills focused in the compute arena. Ian transitioned from Intel into Savvis as they took over the managed services business and over time moved from a hands on engineer to lead the Global Engineering team.

Douglas Goldie

Senior Director, Global Hosting Infrastructure at CenturyLink

Douglas Goldie is the Senior Director of Global Hosting Infrastructure at CenturyLink. In his role Douglas is responsible for the teams that ensure uptime and availability of the core infrastructure which supports our clients' businesses. These global teams sustain and develop these infrastructure components as they relate to the Network, Storage, Backup and Compute technologies in order to deliver managed and hybrid cloud services.

Douglas has over 22 years' experience in technology mainly in the investment banking and managed service verticals. Douglas' journey in technology started when he worked for Northern Telecom Limited and furthered his experience in roles at and J.P. Morgan, Nomura and Goldman Sachs.

Kiran Johal

Senior Director of Commercial Operations (EMEA/APAC)

Kiran has overall responsibility for the pricing and offer management teams for EMEA and APAC, assisting Sales to effectively manage and close large transactional deals.

With over 15 years' experience within the complex bid support functions (pre and post-sales) in Telecoms, covering pricing activities, contractual commercial issues and client facing deal negotiations on global deals led out of EMEA. Kiran has worked for WorldCom, MCI and Verizon during this time. Prior to this, Kiran worked for the Economist Group in London for 5 years' within the financial and management accounting teams.

Kiran has a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from the University of Derby and is a Certified Accountant.

Kim Watkins

HR Director, CenturyLink EMEA

Kim is responsible for the overall management of CenturyLink's HR department, carrying out HR operations across the EMEA region.

With over 13 years' experience working within HR, and 6 years' of experience internally, Kim has worked in a diverse variety of sectors, with companies including Foster and Partners and Williams Lea.

Kim has a BA (Hons) in English from University of the West of England, an MSc in HR Management and Development from Northumbria University and a Professional Certificate in Management from Open University.

Matt Leonard

Engineering and Product Commercialisation Director, CenturyLink EMEA

Matt is responsible for leading product commercialisation globally and pre-sales engineering team i n EMEA. As a product strategist, Matt has designed and launched business public cloud services using Xen via Tata Communications' InstaCompute, enterprise private cloud services using VMware via Savvis' Virtual Intelligent Hosting and bare metal managed hosting via Savvis' Foundation Hosting. Recently Matt was responsible for leading the product commercialisation for CenturyLink Cloud.

Prior to his current role, Matt worked for GTE, Qwest, Savvis, Parallels and Tata Communications where he held a variety of different leadership roles in the product sector. Matt has also had previous international business experience living in Oslo, Norway supporting the EMEA region with Savvis and developing cloud solutions around the unique needs of Asian businesses for Tata Communications.

Matt has 20 years of technology product management, sales, business development, and sales engineering leadership experience with a focus on growing revenue and increasing the productivity of large sales organisations.

Matt has a BSEE, Electrical Engineering speciality in Computer Engineering from the University of Virginia.

Mark Yearwood

Director, International Finance EMEA at CenturyLink

Mark is responsible for business strategy and planning, reporting, key decision support as well as being the executive sponsor for a number of major client accounts. He has developed and continues to manage a high performing finance team, based in the UK. This team was responsible for delivering the business investment case leading to the sale of the legacy Savvis hosting business to CenturyLink and the expansion of its European footprint.

Mark has held several financial management roles at large organisations including GTS and Accenture prior to joining CenturyLink in 2007. Mark is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) with over 15 years qualified experience gained in the IT, telecoms and outsourcing industry sectors.

Mark has an Accounting and Finance degree from the University of Kent.

Caroline Gyte

Marketing Director, CenturyLink EMEA

Caroline is responsible for the creation and management of CenturyLink's marketing strategy and execution across the EMEA region.

With over 15 years' experience in technology marketing, Caroline has worked for key players in the network service provider and data centre sectors including Colt and Interxion. She has held a variety of roles in marketing including marketing operations, field marketing and marketing communications.

Caroline has a BA (Joint Hons) in Law & German from Keele University and is a Chartered marketer (CIM Professional Postgraduate).
